Spain’s top flight has three ever-presents. Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Athletic Club have contested 96 seasons apiece, the most in Primera División history.

According to AS, all three have featured in every edition since the competition began in 1929. Real Madrid have won 36 league titles, the most in the competition, Barcelona 29, and Athletic 8.

Valencia have recorded 92 seasons and 6 league titles. Atlético de Madrid are on 90 seasons with 11 league titles. Atlético, along with Real Sociedad, RCD Espanyol, Athletic, Barcelona and Real Madrid, were among the 10 clubs that launched the league in 1929.

RCD Espanyol have played 90 seasons but are yet to win the league. Sevilla have 83 seasons and lifted the title in 1946.

Real Sociedad count 80 seasons, claiming successive crowns in 1981 and 1982. Real Betis have 61 seasons and captured their lone title in 1935.

RC Celta de Vigo have also reached 61 seasons in the top flight and are still seeking a first league championship.
