The dominance of Hansi Flick\u2019s Barcelona<\/a> pushed Real Madrid to desperate measures in the summer, not only in terms of transfer activity but also in terms of managerial changes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After seeing two managers just last season, the club brought in Jose Mourinho as a candidate to challenge Flick\u2019s Barcelona. After all, the Portuguese coach oversaw one of Real Madrid\u2019s golden periods and was seen as the best possible candidate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Catalans, however, have started off the season in fine form<\/a> and are flying across all competitions. In fact, they appear on course to break one of Mourinho\u2019s golden Real Madrid records as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The 2011-12 version of Real Madrid that played under Mourinho\u2019s command was special. (Photo by Denis Doyle\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n What made their campaign immortal, however, was the fact that they set an unprecedented record in La Liga<\/a> by scoring 121 goals in the league with an average of 3.18 goals per game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Further, they also reached 100 points for the first time in their history and lost only two league games all season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Barcelona\u2019s start to the new season, however, throws the club\u2019s record goalscoring season at threat of being bettered, and it is ironic that it is Mourinho who is the manager of Real Madrid at this point in time once more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n So far this season, Barcelona have scored 28 goals in six games with an average of 4.6 goals per game. (Photo by Judit Cartiel\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Raphinha<\/a> has led the way in La Liga with nine goals and Lamine Yamal<\/a> is not too far off as he has scored seven goals in the competition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Beyond that, Fermin Lopez, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and even Gabriel Jesus have left their mark in attack, and it is clear that the manager has no dearth of goalscorers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
