FC Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal<\/a> has no intention of putting a limit on his ambitions<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At just 19, the Barcelona forward is already one of the best in the world and has tasted huge success both with the club and the Spanish national team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, all the trophies he has collected has not diminished the teenage superstar\u2019s hunger for more success.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In an interview with Jorge Valdano on \u2018Universo Valdano\u2019<\/em> (h\/t SPORT<\/a>), Lamine made it clear that his desire to win has only grown..<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cPeople think that because I\u2019ve won the World Cup<\/a>, two La Liga<\/a> titles and the Copa, I don\u2019t want to win three World Cups and five Champions Leagues,\u201d<\/strong> the Barcelona gem stated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

His ambition, he says, remains one of his defining characteristics. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI can assure you that ambition is what I have most. The moment I won the World Cup, I already wanted to win another one. I live for and because of football, and the only way I can repay football is by always wanting to play and win.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lamine also believes his rapid development gave him an advantage over other young players. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s one thing I have going for me: I\u2019ve gone through the maturing process very quickly. Young players, even when they have a lot of talent, find it difficult to adapt to the elite,\u201d<\/strong> he noted. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIt makes me happy to know that in four years I\u2019ll be much better. I think it will be difficult to find someone who is at my level.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Messi and Neymar remain key influences<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Lamine revealed that he continues to hold former Barcelona captain and club legend Lionel Messi in the highest regard, describing him as \u201cthe best player in history\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He also revealed the importance another former Bar\u00e7a great, Neymar, had during his childhood. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI always try to be happy, and Neymar was happiness. He was my whole childhood, watching videos of his goals and dribbles,\u201d<\/strong> he described.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Reflecting on the World Cup<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Despite playing a major role in Spain\u2019s World Cup triumph this summer, Lamine admitted he finished the tournament feeling that he had more to give. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t happy with myself because, for me, I could have done more. I helped the team, but I\u2019m really looking forward to the next one,\u201d<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cFor another player, with my performance it would have been a great World Cup, but not for me.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lamine also recalled a conversation with former Spain teammate Alvaro Morata before their 2024 meeting with Brazil, when the Barcelona forward was only 16.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Morata took him aside before the match and delivered a message that stayed with him: \u201c\u2019I know you\u2019re the best player in the world at the moment. You just need to have confidence in yourself and show it.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

According to Lamine, those words changed his mindset. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cFrom that moment on, I understood that I could show it. That\u2019s when everything started to go upwards.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
