Jose Mourinho has already rewritten a small part of his Real Madrid<\/a> history after guiding the club to three wins from their opening three La Liga<\/a> matches of the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As such, the 4-0 victory over Malaga<\/a> completed a perfect start for Mourinho in his second spell at the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u and, remarkably, it has taken him only nine days to establish a new personal benchmark in the league.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mourinho had never previously won his first three La Liga<\/a> matches as Real Madrid<\/a> manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, that has now changed, with victories over Espanyol, Real Sociedad and Malaga giving him nine points from nine available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mourinho\u2019s previous opening three-match records during his first stint as Real Madrid<\/a> manager were nowhere near perfect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He collected seven points from his first three league games in 2010\/11 after drawing with Mallorca before beating Osasuna and Real Sociedad.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although he did not win his first three league matches in 2010, the Portuguese coach responded by taking Madrid on a remarkable 12-match unbeaten run.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That sequence included 10 victories and two draws, with their first La Liga<\/a> defeat eventually arriving against Barcelona at Camp Nou towards the end of November.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The following season brought six points from victories against Zaragoza and Getafe, separated by a defeat to Levante.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Furthermore, his 2012\/13 campaign began even more slowly, with four points from a draw against Valencia, a defeat at Getafe and a victory over Granada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Up next, Mourinho needs three more consecutive league victories to match the six-game winning start achieved by Xabi Alonso at the beginning of his Madrid tenure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Beyond that, there is also the five-match sequence with which Arbeloa began his spell in charge after taking over in January.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For now, however, Mourinho can enjoy a start that has already improved on his previous opening records.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Three matches have produced nine points, a perfect defensive record in the latest victory and early evidence that Real Madrid<\/a> have adapted quickly to their new manager.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
