Real Madrid<\/a> head coach Jos\u00e9 Mourinho has this week opened up on the subject of a potential striker pairing formed by Blancos pair Kylian Mbapp\u00e9<\/a> and Carlos Esp\u00ed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This of course comes after the attacking duo combined to secure a last-gasp three points for Los Blancos on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Locked at two goals apiece in a La Liga<\/a> meeting with Elche in Alicante, Real Madrid introduced summer signing Carlos Esp\u00ed off the bench, to join Kylian Mbapp\u00e9 in a front two.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As proceedings rolled into injury time, the pair then broke free in behind, allowing the latter to square for Esp\u00ed to slot home the winner in a 3-2 result.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This marked the young frontman\u2019s 2nd late winner of the season to date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side\u2019s fifth win from six to open the La Liga campaign, the aforementioned Jos\u00e9 Mourinho was therefore drawn on the prospect of Mbapp\u00e9 and Esp\u00ed joining forces as starters in his XI.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Real\u2019s headmaster, though, was quick to play the idea down, assuring:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am happy with Esp\u00ed; he\u2019s hungry and motivated. Starting him? Carlos knows he has in front of him a player who is not normal\u2026 It\u2019s not easy to play Esp\u00ed together with Mbapp\u00e9 in a 4-4-2 system.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
