Real Madrid<\/a> are set to tie 21-year-old sensation Arda Guler<\/a> down to a new contract, according to respected reporter Fabrizio Romano, ending Xabi Alonso\u2019s hopes of bringing him to Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Turkish international joined from Fenerbahce in 2023 and has notched 19 goals and 26 assists in 116 games for Los Blancos so far, generally playing as an attacking midfielder or winger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Guler\u2019s<\/a> performances have, understandably, captured the attention of several sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Reports over the summer suggested that Alonso had asked Chelsea\u2019s hierarchy to launch a move for the youngster<\/a>, who he, of course, managed during his time at the Bernab\u00e9u.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n But sadly for Chelsea<\/a> and his other suitors, Guler is reportedly set to put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Real Madrid.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cArda G\u00fcler has agreed to sign new deal at Real Madrid! The agreement is done and set to be announced soon \u2014 understand it will be valid until June 2032, six years,\u201d Romano posted on X.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cArda already said yes \u2014 first call on talks @diarioas. All conditions have been accepted.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Chelsea<\/a> aren\u2019t the only top Premier League club to have shown interest in Guler.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Arsenal were linked with the Turkish talent earlier this year, and they reportedly reached out to the player\u2019s representatives<\/a> to gauge his interest in a switch to the Emirates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Liverpool, too, were said to be admirers of Guler.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n However, it appears that the youngster is not planning to leave Real Madrid any time soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
