Manchester City have opened talks with Liverpool to sign Cody Gakpo.<\/p>\n

Liverpool will be considering their situation given contact has come late in the window.<\/p>\n

One source told Sky Sports News <\/em>a potential move for the winger is advancing in Manchester City’s direction amid the interest of Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Discussions are also under way over personal terms for the Netherlands international.<\/p>\n

Liverpool are on the verge of signing Bradley Barcola from PSG for \u00a3106m rising to \u00a3123m, while Victor Munoz <\/strong>arrived from Osasuna earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

Andoni Iraola was non-committal over Gakpo’s future on Saturday after Liverpool’s home draw against Nottingham Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gakpo claimed the assist for Alexander Isak’s goal at Anfield, after which Iraola told TNT<\/em>: “Now we have two or three days and we will see what happens with everyone.<\/p>\n

“I’m looking forward to arriving at September 2 and knowing what squad we have.<\/p>\n

“It’s true we created both goals from the right side and they were very good goals.”<\/p>\n

Bradley Barcola is set to sign a Liverpool contract to 2031 after the Premier League club reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over the structure of the transfer.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports<\/em> reported on Friday that an agreement in principle had been reached for Barcola<\/a> to move to Anfield in a package worth \u00a3120m.<\/p>\n

The final discussions had centred over the structure of deal, with Liverpool now set to pay \u00a3106m up front and up to \u00a317m in add-ons.<\/p>\n

Documents must still be exchanged between the clubs and Barcola must complete a medical.<\/p>\n

There had been a gap in valuation between the two clubs earlier in the summer, with PSG previously asking for around \u00a3145m for the France international, but the 23-year-old is now set to sign a five-year deal with Andoni Iraola’s side.<\/p>\n

Barcola would become Liverpool’s second most expensive signing of all time, following the club-record deal to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle for \u00a3125m last summer.<\/p>\n

Liverpool are also trying to sign a second new winger, with their target currently Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr following difficult negotiations with Brighton for Yankuba Minteh.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
