After months of speculations and offers, Marc Casado left FC Barcelona<\/a> on the summer transfer deadline day to join newly-promoted La Liga<\/a> club Deportivo De A Coruna.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The 22-year-old La Masia<\/em> graduate was informed that he was not a part of Hansi Flick\u2019s plans at the start of the pre-season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, he hoped to remain at the club and firmly rejected offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey. In the end, the defensive midfielder accepted a move to A Coruna on loan for the season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Deportivo have also secured a \u20ac30 million purchase option as part of the agreement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And, it appears that Casado has quickly settled into his new surroundings after completing his loan move, with the midfielder particularly impressed by the club\u2019s training facilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Casado impressed by Deportivo\u2019s facilities<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Deportivo recently published footage showing the midfielder and Jose Maria Gimenez being given a tour of the club\u2019s facilities alongside sporting director Fernando Soriano.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The midfielder appeared particularly impressed when he saw the dressing room. His reaction was immediate, as he said (h\/t SPORT<\/a>): <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThis is better than Bar\u00e7a and everything.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Soriano, clearly surprised by the comment, asked him: \u201cReally?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Casado did not hesitate, as he replied: \u201cHonestly.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Casado chose Deportivo despite interest from abroad<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, Casado had several offers during the transfer window, including proposals from England, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, while RB Leipzig also showed interest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That option was eventually ruled out, however, and the Barcelona midfielder settled on Deportivo as his destination.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before leaving Barcelona for Galicia, the La Masia<\/em> graduate briefly spoke to reporters at El Prat Airport<\/a> and admitted that he was excited about the move. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very good project. I\u2019m really looking forward to getting started.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There was nevertheless some disappointment at having to leave Barcelona, the club where he had spent his career, even if only temporarily. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cLeaving Bar\u00e7a is always difficult,\u201d<\/strong> he admitted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Casad\u00f3 had already struggled for regular playing time during the previous season, making the move particularly important for his development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He also insisted that there were no hard feelings towards Barcelona. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
