Rodri<\/a>\u2019s inclusion into Hansi Flick\u2019s plans has been measured and cautious, for the manager is aware of the player\u2019s fitness struggles and recent injury history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When fit, there is no doubt that the new Barcelona<\/a> signing is one of the best players in the world, and the club plans to manage his minutes effectively to keep him fit for the big games.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So far, Rodri has made two appearances for Barcelona in La Liga<\/a> and came off the bench on both nights. Tomorrow, he will make his third appearance for the Catalans as they take on Valencia, and it will be a very special occasion for him if he does so.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rodri\u2019s career in La Liga began at Villarreal, and he then moved to Atletico Madrid for a brief period before signing for Manchester City and kicking off a legendary spell at the English club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tomorrow, he will make his 100th appearance in La Liga marking a special milestone in his career in Spain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rodri made 63 appearances with Villarreal after his debut in the 2015-16 campaign and then made 34 appearances for Atletico Madrid after he signed for them in the 2018-19 campaign. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Adding his two Barcelona appearances so far in the league, he stands on 99 games.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If Flick hands him any minutes tomorrow, he will reach the three-digit mark in terms of appearances in the Spanish league in which he has four goals and five assists to his name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Both of the former Ballon d\u2019Or winner\u2019s appearances for Barcelona so far have come off the bench, and it is clear that the manager is being cautious with their incorporation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Yet, it is clear that Rodri has significantly helped Barcelona\u2019s in-game dominance whenever called-on, making him a valuable asset as a starting piece already.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, there is also a high possibility that Hansi Flick prefers to wait it out a couple more days and start a fully fit Rodri in Barcelona\u2019s first UEFA Champions League game of the season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
