Real Betis<\/a> brought an end to RealMadrid<\/a>‘s unbeaten start under Jos\u00e9 Mourinho<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The third win by a one-goal margin has moved the Verdiblancos level <\/em>with the top of the Spanish league on nine points, alongside Real Madrid<\/a> and Barcelona<\/a>, who still have a fixture to play this round against Valencia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Looking to maintain their perfect record, Real Madrid<\/a> started brightly and controlled the match against Betis. Jos\u00e9 Mourinho\u2019s side dominated possession and created good chances through Arda G\u00fcler<\/a> and Vini Jr.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Restricted by the visitors\u2019 attacking pressure, Betis took time to find a way out. The home side only made their presence felt in the final third during the second half of the first period, but began to grow into the game after the interval.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Real Madrid reduced their attacking threat in the second half and Betis made the most of the space left behind. The Verdiblancos built pressure patiently and kept pushing until they finally found a way past Courtois<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the 81st\u00a0minute, the Belgian goalkeeper made a superb save from a header, but Troy Parrott<\/a> was left unmarked in the six-yard box to fire home and put Betis ahead.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Real Madrid\u2019s sense of urgency only arrived once they were behind. Jos\u00e9 Mourinho tried to turn to the star quality of Carlos Esp\u00ed<\/a> once again, and he almost delivered. From a move down the left by Vini, the Spanish forward produced an acrobatic bicycle kick and scored a superb goal, but VAR ruled out the equaliser for an offside in the build-up by the player himself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Shortly afterwards, Real had another clear chance to score but wasted it. After another run from Vini, the Brazilian was brought down by compatriot Natan inside the area. Kylian Mbapp\u00e9<\/a> stepped up to take the penalty but was denied by \u00c1lvaro Valles deep into stoppage time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
