FC Barcelona<\/a> trained at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper<\/em> today, continuing their preparations for Sunday\u2019s La Liga<\/a> clash against Valencia. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And, according to MARCA<\/a>, deadline-day arrival Gabriel Jesus<\/a> completed the full session alongside his teammates after being involved in only part of Thursday\u2019s workout<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For the 29-year-old striker, it marked his second training session with his new teammates and another positive step in his adaptation to the squad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jesus edging closer to his debut<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Gabriel Jesus joined Barcelona as the club\u2019s final signing of the summer transfer window. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Brazilian forward was signed late in the window after a move for Julian Alvarez failed, with Bar\u00e7a paying \u20ac10 million plus add-ons for his services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The former Arsenal forward, who has been given the No. 9 shirt at Bar\u00e7a, begun working with his teammates on Thursday before taking a step forward today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He handled the workload well and trained without any problems, meaning the countdown to his first appearance in Blaugrana<\/em> colours is now well under way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, it remains unclear whether he will travel with the squad for Sunday\u2019s match against Valencia at Mestalla. Hansi Flick has not yet made a final decision on whether to include the Brazilian in the squad. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If he does make the trip, the intention would not necessarily be for him to play, but rather to allow him to spend more time with his new teammates and accelerate his integration into the dressing room.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nonetheless, he is now closing in on his first competitive appearance for the La Liga champions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The La Masia<\/em> midfielder has now fully recovered from the contusion he suffered in Bar\u00e7a\u2019s opening La Liga match against Elche, which led to him missing the games against Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Having now trained with the group, Gavi is expected to return to the squad for Sunday\u2019s meeting with Valencia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another notable development from the training session was young winger Iu Martinez\u2019s continued presence, having trained with the senior squad on Thursday as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
